I'm so taken by the world and everything in it.
I once heard communication was 80% nonverbal, and I'm a firm believer of that. It's what drives my desire to photograph, What always draws my camera to my eye. Trying to capture the essence of a moment of emotion or expression, at its rawest, more basic, human form.
Sometimes I have the pleasure of enjoying the moment, but so often it's an instance.
Just a quick moment of emotion, be it pain, fear, pure joy. A moment of expression, communication, interaction.
Watching people who don't speak the same language interacting has always fascinated me. Word restricts us to our knowledge of a languages vocabulary. Without words we find ourselves relying on expressions, sounds.
Im always looking for those instances. A moment so universal and uniquely human that there is no need for words. The story is evident and understood by all.
